“What?! No!” Bruce explained, his eyes wide. " Hope, what happened? How was Karl taken?” Maya asked rapidly, beckoning her to sit down. “We were searching near the river, me and Joy were searching looking through the river bank reeds when we heard someone screaming.” Hope muttered, pointing back to the same direction that she came from. “We rushed out of the reeds and I managed to catch a glance of the scene. There were two boy that both had the same icy blue skin and hair and they were running away with Karl in their grip. They didn’t seem to noticed us, even when me and Joy chased after them.” She paused for a moment and looked at Bruce, her face filled with sorrow. “I’m so sorry Bruce, we tried to get Karl back, but they disappeared into a gray van and drove away before we can get him.” she muttered, looking away. Bruce’s eyes welled up with tears as he fell to his knees. Maya looked at Hope with shock and she turned her head to Bruce, feeling sorry for him. “Ok, don’t worry Bruce, we’ll get him back. Hope! Go gather the other group and tell them that something went wrong, nothing else. I’ll tell them once we get back inside the basement. Be quick now.” Maya explained,already nudging Bruce to his feet. Hope nodded and raced away. Meanwhile inside the gray van, “Nice job, Isolde. we got what our boss wanted.” muttered the icy boy with white hair in the driving seat. “ You did well too, Glazuro.” Isolde explained, smirking. “Who are you? what do you want?” Karl stuttered, trying to look brave as he sat near Isolde. “Oh, we’re so rude. I’m Isolde and that’s my twin brother, Glazuro, in the driving seat. Our boss has been watching you for quite a while and he likes how you are so flexible, so he sent us to get you.” Isolde muttered, taking out his phone. “What does he want from me?” Karl asked. “Oh, he wants you to be part of our family, we need more kids to help us with….. things.” Glazuro mumbled, making a turn. “In other words, he’s going to change your DNA. Just imagine, you will have superpowers like us and nobody will ever tell you what to do ever again.” Isolde explained, texting to someone. Karl looked at them, horrified. “Change my DNA? You’re nuts! I don’t want to change my DNA and I didn’t even asked for it, so let me go!” Karl shouted, leaping away from Isolde, reaching for the car door. Isolde didn’t look up from his phone as he flick his fingers toward the door nob, a ice blue light shot out and hit the door nob, freezing it over. “Don’t move or I’ll freeze you next.” he mumbled, looking up with a calm face. Karl whimpered as he slowly moved away from the door and back onto his seat. “We’re almost there. Mag will help us get him to the lab section without any problem.” Glazuro chuckled, turning into a narrow alleyway. " Don’t worry, after all this… you would want to join us.” Isolde muttered, flashing a devious grin to Karl. “We’re here. welcome to your new home," Glazuro announced, as a large building loomed in front of them.

Meanwhile back at their cousin’s house. “What!” everyone exclaimed as Maya told them what happened. “Do you know who took him?” Frostfur asked. “ It was two icy boys that took him. One of them has white hair and the other has blue hair and both of them have blue skin. we tried to get him back, but they are just too fast.” Joy explained. “We managed to find this though. Here, take this to Ashpaws.” Maya muttered, handing over the Stardust Blossom to Leo. Leo nodded and quickly left the room. “Why would they want to take Karl? he’s normal!” Bruce mumbled, glancing outside. “We don’t know yet, Bruce. But whatever it is, we’ll get him back. I promise.” Maya answered, patting him on the back. “The only question I have is this….. how did they know that he was was there?” Kai asked, his face thoughtful. one of the hybrid soldiers hissed at Kai, Kai flinched and looked away. “ That’s a good question, maybe they have a spy that has been watching him.” Zeve muttered, glancing at Kai. then they heard someone knocking on the door. “I’ll get it.” Frostfur mumbled, walking toward the door. she opened it, revealing two young teenagers. " Windy! Furry! Oh, how good is it to see you two. Come on in.” Maya said, her tail waving happily. “ I was here for my concert, and we thought we should drop by to say hi.” Windy mumbled,shaking snow off his fur. " I am so happy to see you too. But something bad had happened. one of our students we rescue has been kidnapped.” Maya whispered. “by who?”Flurry asked. “Don’t know. Hope and Joy informed us that it was two icy boys that capture him.” Zeve answered,frowning. “Sis, come downstairs, now!” they heard Leo yelled from the basement. Maya turned around swiftly and raced toward the door with the others close behind. she burst through the door and ran down the stairs, breathing heavily. Finally she reach Leo’s side who was watching Lily moving around her bed. “what happened?” Maya asked,panting. but before Leo can anwser,Lily’s eyes flew open and she leap up from her bed, her eyes full of fear. “Lily! whoa, calm down! It’s just us.” Leo explained, gently tackling her down. “King Greypaws…. sent me a vision.” Lily whispered, turning her head to Bruce. “What did he say?” windy asked, surprised. Leo slowly got off of Lily and she sat up, facing the crowd. " King Greypaw sent me a message from the creator. Someone will be taken away by a company called Kidder Corp. He showed me a picture of a young teenage boy that I don’t recognized, with a devious smile on his face. then I saw Flurry by him with her head bowed. Greypaws told me to remember his face and then he disappeared,leaving me a in the dark.” Lily muttered. Maya glanced at Flurry who gasped, her ears flatten down. “ I know him. In fact, I was created by him.” Flurry whispered. “Really? we all know that you were created by someone, but we don’t who. Please tell us about this….. Kidder Corp and their leader.” Leo asked, his face growing serious.

Flurry took a deep breath and closed her eyes. “ Before you guys found me, I was an experiment. I was somehow created by Adam, who is the leader of the Kidder Corp. My first memory was in the chamber, where they had created me.” she muttered, her eyes still close. “Adam is a 17 years old teenager with light brown hair and honey-color skin, with blue eyes. He loves to change people DNA, and he don’t care if they don’t want that. He gives kids that he picked from the street powers and he gives them a choice. Follow him or be forced to follow him, in others words some of them were forced. but most of them love it.” she mumbled. “I thought that Kidder Corp was run by adults, not kids. And Kidder Corp has done so many good things.” said a teenager who was sitting near Leo. “That was only a cover. Adam created a kid that can shift his body and make him have different faces, he used that kid to make us believe that adults run that place. They did many good things only to keep up the cover, I don’t know what is Adam planing. But I know that it cannot be good.” Flurry replied. “How did you escape?” Lily asked. Flurry sighed, “After a few days after they had created me I was sitting around the chamber with an orange haired kid watching me outside the chamber. I believe his name was Mag. I was tired of them poking around me and I wanted to get out of that horrible place. Then I looked up and at the top of the chamber was a glass dome that led to the open sky. I quickly changed into a falcon and flew up toward the dome, crashing through it. The orange haired kid raised the alarm and they chased after me in helicopters.” she paused for a moment before continuing . “I almost didn’t make it, I crashed into a garbage bin and hid there until they were gone. I met Maya and her group about a week after that.” she finished. “She is my sister, somehow they got some of my fur and created her with that.” Windy added, comforting Flurry by squeezing her hand. everyone was quiet for a long moment. Then Maya spoke. “We need to rescue Karl now! before it’s too late. Zeve can you send one of your soldiers to go get him?” Maya asked. Zeve frowned. “ Maya, I’ll go. I know that place better than anyone else.” Flurry announced, stumbling to her feet. “ Sis, you can’t! I don’t want to lose you again and I don’t know what Adam will do to you if he gets his hands on you.” Windy explained, his ears flattened in distress. “I know that one day I would face my past again, even if that means that I need to sneak into that horrible place. Beside, that person needs help, and I can’t exactly ignore that.” Flurry replied, facing Windy. Windy sighed, shaking his head. “Fine. But please, be careful.” he muttered, rubbing his face into hers. “I will try my best. But if I go down, I go down. See you later, brother.” Flurry whispered, moving away from him and went outside, disappearing into the snowy storm.

meanwhile inside Kidder Corp, “ Go on, the boss wants to see you.” Glazuro grunted, pushing Karl down the long hallway. Karl glanced around nervously, seeing strange kids everywhere in the hallway. “Don’t be so shy, you going to be part of them soon. They have all been reformed by Adam, our creator and our leader.” Mag explained, walking near them, satisfied with Karl’s fear. “What’s is he going to do with me?” Karl stuttered, as he watched a kid made of stones walked past him. " That’s up to Adam, he has some ideas for you. But he always finds the right one for us.” Isolde chuckled. “Hey guys, how are you doing? And who is this new kid?” asked a boy with bat ears that was hanging from the ceiling. “Ahhh!” Karl yelped, stumbling back in shock. “Hey Flappy. This is Karl, our new member of our family.” Glazuro muttered, looking bored. “Haha! Hey there new kid, the name’s Flappy.” the boy smiled, showing long white fangs. Karl shuddered and backed away, bumping into a man with a swirling mustache. " Oh! I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you there, sir.” Karl muttered, glancing up. “Haha! That’s ok, I sometimes get so into my character. Gave me a moment.” the man chuckled, his face melting away revealing a teenage boy face. “My name is Michael, but I prefer to be called Mimic. I can look like anyone, including you.” Mimic explained, his face melting again and reformed into a exact copy of Karl’s face. Karl stared at him,shocked. then he swiftly turned his face away. “I want to go back home, not stay here in this creepy place.” Karl cried out, facing Mag. “Sorry kid, this is your future now. Go inside now, Adam is waiting for you.” Mag grunted, shoving Karl into a room. The room was dark, expect for the lights from multiple computers. Sitting in the chair near one of the computers, was Adam. “Finally, I was wondering what took you’ll so long. Nice to meet you Karl, I’m Adam, leader of the Kidder Corp and creator of reformed kids.” the teenager mumbled, standing up and walked up to Karl. " Let me go, you-you monster!” Karl screamed, lifting his hand to punch Adam. Adam dodged the blow nimbly and kicked Karl in the stomach. Karl cried out in pain and fell onto the floor, clutching his stomach. "Pitiful. You can do better then that. Rule number one, Do not fight with me. I’m your leader here, understand?” Adam asked, putting on white gloves. “What are you going to do with me?” Karl whimpered, looking up at him with fear. Adam ignore him and motioned the icy twins to come forward. “Strap him to the table.” Adam ordered. They nodded and grabbed Karl by his arms, dragging him toward a metal table in the middle of the room. Karl struggled to get loose, but it was no use. They placed him onto the cold metal table and strapped his arms and leg tightly to the table. Adam walked to a smaller table nearby and picked up a jar that was filled with green syrup, bringing it up to his face. “This will do.” He mumbled. He opened the jar and grabbed a syringe with a needle. he stuck the needle into the green syrup, letting a few millimeters of the syrup into the bottle. Then he turned around to face Karl, who was screaming silently. Adam walked up to Karl, his eyes shining with satisfaction. “Say goodbye to your old life, you won’t be needing it anymore.” Adam muttered, narrowing his eyes. He stab the needle into Karl’s left arm. Karl screamed as Adam injected the syrup into him. Then his eyes rolled back and everything faded into darkness.
